Anothr Lap – Community Guidelines

🫱 Community Guidelines

Version 1.0 – Effective July 17, 2025
Last updated: July 17, 2025

TL;DR (Short Version)

  • Be honest.
  • Be respectful.
  • Be helpful.
  • Don’t be a jerk.
  • Celebrate the sport and your fellow athletes.
  • If you see harmful or inappropriate content, report it.
  • Race Directors and community members all share the space—let’s keep it constructive.

Why These Guidelines Exist

Anothr Lap is a platform created for the endurance community—runners, cyclists, triathletes, OCR fanatics, and first-timers alike. This is a space for truthful, constructive feedback that helps others find great races and helps Race Directors deliver better experiences.

We believe in courage, honesty, joy, and community. These guidelines are here to keep Anothr Lap a place that reflects those values.

What’s Encouraged

Honest reviews based on your personal experience
Constructive feedback that helps improve events
Tips and insights that support future racers
Celebration of community—volunteers, finish-line moments, great course vibes
Relevant media (photos, links to Strava/Garmin, blog recaps, etc.)

What’s Not Allowed

Hate speech or discriminatory language (racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise abusive)
Personal attacks, bullying, or targeted harassment of athletes, race staff, or other users
Profanity or explicit content
Spam, misleading links, or off-topic promotions
Fake reviews or content posted on behalf of someone else

You’re welcome to upload race-day photos, audio clips, or share links to activity data or official results—but keep them relevant, appropriate, and safe for everyone. Don’t upload anything you don’t own or have permission to share.

For Race Directors

Race Directors are key community members here. They can:

  • Respond to reviews
  • Flag reviews that appear misleading or inappropriate
  • Receive anonymized feedback reports

We expect the same respectful tone from Race Directors as from reviewers. If you respond to a review, speak from a place of improvement, not defensiveness.

Moderation & Reporting

We believe in a light-touch approach to moderation—but we take abuse seriously.

If you see content that violates these guidelines, you can:

Our team will review reports promptly. Reviews may be edited, hidden, or removed if they violate our policies.

Consequences

We reserve the right to:

  • Remove content that violates these guidelines
  • Temporarily or permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations
  • Ban users who attempt to harass, spam, or game the platform

Help Us Keep It Awesome

This platform only works if it works for everyone. Whether you’re a podium regular or running your first 5K, your voice matters. Share it honestly, help others, and don’t be afraid to make us better by giving feedback along the way.
